Lund Alumni
Here are some wonderful people that I met while I was studying in Sweden.
If you studied in Lund last semester, your picture could turn up here soon... |
Old Fire Station & Company
The famous Blekingska ball. Almost everyone in the Old Fire Station attented this big event. I was the lucky one who got to take this wonderful picture, maybe a dozen times with everyone's camera. Though I did have fun drinking Swedish beer in the sauna with Xavier that night, I sometimes wish I would have attended this little shindig.

Juan, or should I say 'Don Juan'
If he's not singing or playing Spanish love songs on his guitar, he is found cooking or creating exam cheat notes. Juan is a total player who can always find a time and place for SALSA! |

Laura, the Australian with the perfect body!
Always greeting you with her lovely smile and dodgy sense of humour. Laura was well-respected by all for keeping order in the common lounge, but was caught red-handed posting dirty pictures above the toilet. Though her room was always smelling so ladylike, Laura could not deny her love for Crocodile beer, the world's best lager. |
Swiss Family Robinson
Though Pascal did not live in the Old Fire Station, many of us believed he did--at least for the first two months. These fine lads can always find a way to enjoy themselves, either at a nation party dancing salsa, or in the 3rd floor lounge drinking away. Here's to Swiss cheese, Swiss Army knives, Swiss Army watches, Swiss Alps, Swiss bank accounts, and Swiss Swiss. |

Noi sono fratellis di musica e di calcio.
Here are two key members of both the Old Fire Station FC and the Old Fire Station Studio Recording Jam Sessions. Marco could stun everyone with his magical football talent, while Alberto impressed everyone with his beautiful saxophone. Kristiania will never be the same without the Italians from Lund. |
Stan is the man with the plan, or should I say "l'homme avec la pomme!"
The real founder of the Old Fire Station Studio Recording Jam Sessions. With his towering height and sexy French accent, Stan was quickly recognized as a 5-star stud when it came to year-ending parties. Funky music is his life, but the question is: who will be his wife? |

Jeroen Bijlsma, man of mystery
A man who is always full of surprises and laughter. Only Jeroen could find so much amusement out of polar bread. His shy quiet nature comes from his Dutch roots. Though he didn't talk very much, we all found his words so WISE when he did speak. Without his beard, many mistake him for Art Garfunkel. Computers, tennis, chess, cycling, and scaring young children trying to ride a bike, take up most of his time. |
The English Wine Gum
Though he finds much enjoyment out of crumpets and Mind the Gap, Will does not find enjoyment out of Jeroen's tomfoolery. This Scotland Yards detective is an expert at drinking bad Swedish beer and DJ Florian karaoke. |

The architect and the chemist
You wouldn't guess these two girls were studying architecture and chemistry if you saw the way they partied. Mo could always put a smile on your face, and was rarely seen without a smile on hers. Martina could cook up a storm with her Austrian recipes, and dance up a storm with her quick-toe step movements. These are two very lovely girls. |
Is it Porto or Oporto -- who cares? Viva el Portugal!
If Carla wasn't worried about exams, she was worried about her final papers, catching the bus on time, her luggage, her telephone, her food going bad, her toilet paper running out, or something else. When Susana didn't have a headache, she would often be singing songs from Roxette or drinking Porto wine. Remember: The implications of integrating modern-day technology with organizational culture is a process that is easier said than done. |
